Solaye Kamau is a lens—seeing and sharing the world through Afro-Caribbean culture, texture, and memory.

This project began with a feeling that the spaces I lived in didn’t reflect the stories I carried.

As a designer from the Afro diaspora, I wanted artwork with presence, memory, and meaning, yet made for everyday living.

So, I began creating the pieces I longed for. Art shaped by heritage and grounded in the present.

My aim is simply to bring art into daily spaces that speaks to heritage, presence, and pride.

With Solaye Kamau, I hope collecting art can feel more personal, more representative, and more like home.
