Guardians
This collection began with my interest with African masks, their details, their shapes, and their roles in ceremony and life. As I learned their history, I found a connection to collective memory, to ancestors, to those who came before us.
I think of these pieces as guardians. Not distant or imposing, but gentle companions that may remind you: you come from somewhere, you're held in ancestral memory, you're part of something enduring.
My hope is that those who bring these into their homes feel that same connection: to roots, to memory, to something larger than ourselves.
